Hello, I’m Opeyemi, and I’m genuinely thrilled to join Genomics England for this internship, where I’ll be diving into the fascinating world of data science in genomics.

With a background in Biochemistry (Molecular genetics), and a passion all things data, I’m currently getting a Master’s degree in Global Public Health with a specialization in data Science. I am interested in genetic disparities and their implications for public health interventions. More specifically, how genomic data can inform personalized healthcare approaches and mitigate health inequalities.

Proficient in R, Python, SQL and machine learning, I’m excited to apply my skills to the complexities of genomic data analysis.

As an intern at Genomics England, I’m eager to collaborate with the talented team and contribute to cutting edge research projects that harness the power of data to drive healthcare innovation.

When I’m not geeking out with data analysis, you can find me reading novels and watching sappy unrealistic K-drama. Lol.

I’m excited about the opportunity to work with Genomics England and contribute to the advancement of genomic research and healthcare outcomes through data science.
